Stay connected for news and updates

The San Diego Union-Tribune is reporting that recently released Chargers defensive lineman Luis Castillo is visiting the Kansas City Chiefs, who are looking for defensive line help. The Chargers released Castillo last week because of a hefty contact bonus ($1 million bonus and $3.9 million salary), but they are reportedly still interested in resigning him at a lower price.

Castillo is a seven year vet of the Chargers who has started 79 games, good for 151 tackles and 19 sacks. He played in only one game for the Chargers in 2011 after breaking his left tibia in the first week of the season. In his seven seasons, Castillo has only played a full 16 game slate twice.
