The Kansas City Chiefs have already enjoyed a successful offseason by the standards of most sportswriters and NFL analysts given their free agent acquisitions. Right tackle Eric Winston shores up the weakest spot among the starters. Peyton Hillis provides the best tandem back with Jamaal Charles yet. Kevin Boss gives Matt Cassel another receiver and some insurance if Tony Moeaki isn't back to health. Given the players already brought in, star wide receiver Dwayne Bowe says he has no idea what the team will do in the upcoming 2012 NFL Draft.
"With the way the team has gone and picked up free agents this offseason, you really don't know who will be the first round pick," said Bowe at the recent Nike uniform reveal. It could be a quarterback, a running back, a wide receiver, an offensive lineman or a defensive player. I don't know what it will be. I just hope it will be the right decision."
Brady Quinn was also brought in as a back-up quarterback and Stanford Routt was the first addition at cornerback this offseason to help replace the departed Brandon Carr. It will be interesting to see if the Chiefs grab more help for the offensive line, take a defensive tackle or throw a curveball at quarterback.
