NFL Free Agency: Jerricho Cotchery Visited Rams, Continues Tour Around League

While most NFL players do well to make it to the second or even third visit on their itinerary in the NFL free agency period, Jerrico Cotchery is seeing the sights around the United States as he goes from team to team hoping to catch on with the right franchise. The latest from Jason La Canfora is that the former Jets and Steelers wide receiver hung out with the St. Louis Rams yesterday as the team makes over its roster with a new regime in place.

Cotchery visited the Chiefs earlier this offseason, although it’s clear the Chiefs will likely wait until after the NFL Draft to add any more pieces. There’s no reason to add a veteran when you don’t know how the draft chips will fall. Cotchery would be an interesting addition for any team, but the Chiefs would need him to play special teams as well as offer that fourth receiver for Matt Cassel.

Cotchery will likely sign somewhere soon after the draft.
