While many Kansas City Chiefs fans were holding their breath when CB Brandon Flowers left practice with an injury, the good news is that it isn't expected to be serious:
Good news on Brandon Flowers. Just a foot bruise. Will probably be held out today

Considering how important Flowers is to the Chiefs secondary this season, Kansas City will likely be very careful in returning him to the practice field, but it doesn't appear that the injury will affect him all that much going forward.
A 5'9 190 CB from Virginia Tech, Flowers has started almost every game for the Chiefs since being drafted with the No. 35 overall pick in 2008.
In 2011, he had 47 tackles, 20 pass deflections and 4 INT's. And with Brandon Carr now in Dallas, he'll be expected to have an even bigger role in 2012.
