NFL Injury Report: Chiefs Tight End Kevin Boss Injured In Loss

The Kansas City Chiefs suffered through yet another blowout loss on Sunday, this time 35-17 to the Buffalo Bills. They are starting the season a disappointing 0-2. The game was not without its casualties, however minimal they might have been.

Tight end Kevin Boss left the game with a head injury after being elbowed by Bills safety Da'Norris Searcy and did not return. Coach Romeo Crennel stated after the game that Boss will be re-evaluated but he did not have any further information regarding the status of the tight end.

Boss suffered the injury after making a 29-yard catch in the second quarter when he took a blow to the back of the head from Searcy's forearm. Searcy received an unnecessary roughness penalty for the hit.

Boss has just three catches for 65 yards and a touchdown on the season, his first with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Cornerback Javier Arenas also left the game with a neck stinger, although there was no further update on his condition after the game.
