Chan Gailey Praises Marcell Dareus After Bills Victory Over Chiefs

Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus lost his younger brother to a shooting in Birmingham, Ala., last week, but the second-year player returned to the team in time for Sunday's 35-17 victory against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Said head coach Chan Gailey, via the team's website:

"It is amazing and I am proud of our football team for rallying around him. It is not easy what he is going through and the situation he finds himself. So that is impressive on his part individually and to me impressive about our football team and the way they have reacted and helped."

Dareus, who played in college at Alabama, had two tackles against the Chiefs, including one sack. He had a minor shoulder injury but Gailey said it was fine and that Dareus played through it in the second half.

As a rookie, Dareus played in all 16 games of last season and recorded 43 tackles with 5.5 sacks.
