Chiefs Vs. Saints Score Update: Kansas City Trails 10-6 At Halftime

Stay connected for news and updates

The Kansas City Chiefs are down 10-6 against the New Orleans Saints at halftime of Sunday's game.

New Orleans opened the second quarter with a 40-yard field goal from Garrett Hartley to extend the Saints' first quarter lead.

Kansas City also converted on a field goal attempt, this time a 40-yard try and Ryan Succop's second of the game.

Despite just scoring a field goal in the second quarter, Kansas City's offense did begin to pick up a bit. In the first quarter, the Saints had almost double the Chiefs' total of offensive yards, but not at halftime. New Orleans closed the half with 218 yards of total offense compared to Kansas City's 177.

The Kansas City defense has been able to hold Drew Brees and a Saints team looking for its first win of the season.

Matt Cassel finished the first half with 11 of his 17 passes completed for 128 yards. Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe has three catches for 35 yards at halftime.
