Kansas City is interested in Brett Myers, Kevin Correia, Jair Jurrjens and others.
The Kansas City Royals left the 2012 Winter Meetings without a deal in hand, but they are still interested in making some moves this off season. The latest pitchers that the Royals are interested in are Brett Myers, Kevin Correia, Jair Jurrjens and others, according to ESPN's Jerry Crasnick.
Crasnick is also saying that these pitchers are essentially backups for the Royals in case they can't land a top starting pitcher. Either of those three would help improve the Royals staff, but they are not really the splash that Kansas City is looking to make this off season.
The Royals were trying to land New York Mets ace R.A. Dickey, but the Mets wanted Kansas City's top prospect Wil Myers, and the Royals did not want to give him up.
