The Kansas City Royals are looking to sweep this two-game series against the Texas Rangers on Tuesday after handing the defending American League champions a 3-1 loss on Monday.

Vin Mazzaro will make his first start of the 2012 season for the Royals, while facing Rangers right-hander Colby Lewis in the pitching duel.

Shortstop Alcides Escobar has been a spark for the Royals offensively by going 8 for 16 with three doubles and five RBIs in his last five games. Escobar had a single and drove in two Monday, giving him a .345 average in his last eight meetings with Texas.
