Royals Vs. Orioles: Baltimore Takes Game Two From Kansas City

The Baltimore Orioles continue to hold their lead atop the American League East as they defeated the Kansas City Royals on the road today by a final score of 5-3.

Baltimore's Chris Davis led the way for the Orioles with three hits in the ball game, Nick Markakis contributed two hits while J.J. Hardy and Adam Jones both pitched in with two RBI's apiece.

The Orioles Brian Matusz got the win on the hill for Baltimore and Jim Johnson recorded his 14th save of the season.

As for the Royals, they continue to struggle on the season as the loss brings their record to 15-22.

Billy Butler, Alcides Escobar, Irving Falu, Humberto Quintero each had two hits in the ball game and Quintero also had two RBI's, but it would not be enough.
