The Royals will look to turn things around with a three-game series against last-place Minnesota.
The bottom two teams in the AL Central will look to turn things around with a three-game series in Kansas City on Friday night.
The Royals are 2-5 since the All-Star Break and have lost eight of their last 10. The Twins also are 2-5 since the All-Star Break and have lost nine of 12. The Royals are 3-6 against Minnesota this year, losing two of three games in an early-June series in Kansas City.
The Royals send Luke Hochevar to the mound. Hochevar has turned things around since a rough start to the year, posting a 3-1 record and 2.75 ERA in his last five starts. Minnesota will counter with Nick Blackburn, who is making his return to the Major Leagues after a rough start and demotion to Triple-A.
