The Kansas City Royals announced a few roster moves today as they once again shift the starting rotation and hope that familiar faces can thrive once again at the Major League level. The team sent starting pitcher Vin Mazzaro back to AAA Omaha today just hours after losing to the Toronto Blue Jays. In his place, the team announced they've added pitchers Louis Coleman and Nate Adcock back to the Royals roster.
Both right handers should bring some fresh arms to the Royals staff after both Greg Holland and Jose Mijares pitched last night. Mazzaro's demotion is no surprise after giving up 13 hits in just over five innings of work.
Mitch Maier was designated for assignment to AAA to make room for the pitchers.
