After avoiding a sweep at the hands of the Texas Rangers on Sunday, the Royals look to start a modest winning streak on Monday, as they take on the AL Central leading Chicago White Sox.
Ned Yost and Robin Ventura have both announced the starting lineups for Monday night's contest, and here they are:
Kansas City Royals
LF Alex Gordon
SS Alcides Escobar
CF Lorenzo Cain
DH Billy Butler
C Salvador Perez
RF Jeff Francoeur
1B Eric Hosmer
3B Tony Abreu
2B Chris Getz
SP Luis Mendoza
Chicago White Sox
CF Jordan Danks
3B Kevin Youkilis
DH Adam Dunn
1B Paul Konerko
RF Alex Rios
C A.J. Pierzynski
LF Dayan Viciedo
SS Alexei Ramirez
2B Gordon Beckham
SP Chris Sale
Kansas City's offense certainly has a tough task, as Chris Sale has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season.
Noticeably absent from KC's lineup is Yuiniesky Betancourt, who was designated for assignment following Sunday's win over the Rangers.
