US PRESSWIRE

Former Notre Dame Fighting Irish recruit Chris Martin has decided to transfer to Kansas, where he will be reunited with Charlie Weis.

Charlie Weis and the Kansas Jayhawks have landed another transfer student-athlete. Chris Martin has decided to transfer, again, and will sign with Kansas this week, after spending the 2012 season with the City College of San Francisco.

Martin originally committed to play with Notre Dame back in 2010, when Weis was the coach of the Fighting Irish. Martin opted against attending Notre Dame, and decided to enroll at California. As seems to be the theme, Martin had a change of heart, and left Cal for Florida.

While at Florida, Martin never appeared in a game, and eventually left and played in San Francisco in 2012.

Now in 2013, it's expected that Martin will be reunited with Weis -- the same coach that attempted to lure him to South Bend, Ind.

Weis and the Jayhawks will look to improve significantly in 2013. Kansas started out the 2012 season with a win, but then lost its last 11 contests, and finished the season with a 1-11 record.
