Kansas got off to a sluggish start against Florida Atlantic before finding themselves and heading to halftime with a 42-26 lead. This was the Jayhawks' first action since returning from Hawaii and the Maui Invitational.
Tyshawn Taylor leads all scorers with 12 points while Thomas Robinson chipped in nine points and nine rebounds in the first half. The first half has been a struggle for Robinson who finished with just 1-7 shooting but was able to go 7-8 from the free throw line. Conner Teahan came off the bench to hit three buckets from beyond the arc and finished the first half with nine points. Kansas hit 43 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half but helped itself by going 14-16 from the free throw line.
Florida Atlantic was led by Pablo Bertone's nine points and seven rebounds. Kore White and Dennis Mavin finished with five points each. The Owls hit just 35 percent of their field goals and was only 2-6 from the free throw line in the first half.
