Marcus Morris Says KU Basketball Wants Kansas State And Texas

Stay connected for news and updates
The Kansas Jayhawks have lost two games this year to Kansas State and Texas and Marcus Morris wants to see them both in the 2011 Big 12 tournament. Speaking after KU's 63-62 victory over Oklahoma State on Thursday, Morris said he's thought about the K-State fans rushing the court at Bramlage Coliseum on February 14th and he didn't like it.

He may have his chance for revenge. If K-State beats Colorado on Thursday, it'll set up a rematch between Kansas and Kansas State in the semifinals.

Here's what Morris said after KU's Thursday game against OSU (full audio comes via 610 Sports):
"We wanted to see K-State and Texas for our rematches. It's going to be a dog fight game but that's what we're ready for. Games like that get you ready for the NCAA tournament and we're definitely banking on playing those games."

From there, Kansas would need Texas to beat Oklahoma on Thursday and then beat the winner of Missouri-Texas A&M on Friday to set up a championship bout with Texas.

It's almost like a movie script is playing out with these games. The two teams that gave them their only two losses and they could meet them both in the conference tournament.
