The Jayhawks and Tigers are ranked at No. 12 and 13 respectively.

The latest Associated Press Top 25 basketball poll is out for this week, and the Indiana Hoosiers continue to sit at the top of the rankings. At 6-0, the Hoosiers are starting as strong as everyone predicted, although it's interesting that a one-loss team like the Louisville Cardinals sit at No. 2 with 19 first place votes.

As for local teams, the Kansas Jayhawks and Missouri Tigers are ranked in the top 15 at No. 12 and 13 respectively. While the teams are back-to-back in the rankings, this will be the first season that both will not be able to play on the court for supremacy in the Big 12.

Kansas is fresh off of a tourney victory at the CBE Classic. Meanwhile, Missouri fared well in the Battle 4 Atlantis, picking up wins against VCU and Stanford that should look nice come NCAA Tournament time.

Kansas State also picked up 7 votes in a surprising twist.
