The full Big 12 schedule has been released for the upcoming NCAA football season. Find out when your Kansas schools will face off against their division rivals.
It won’t take long for the eyes of the Big 12 to fall upon Kansas as they see just exactly Charlie Weis will make of the Jayhawks program. Of course, nothing can be turned around overnight, but the arrival of TCU and the exciting new coach of KU make for a compelling opening match where some signs of life should emerge if Weis has the team on the right.
Not only is this Weis’ first game, but Dave Campo will have his defense as another aspect to watch as well as the arrival of quarterback Dayne Crist. KU will only be as good as their new quarterback so Crist has many hopes riding on his shoulders. As David Ubben analyzes the schedule, he says this match-up against TCU is one to watch.
Ubben writes, “It’s been awhile since Lawrence hosted a game that came anything close to must-see, but this qualifies. TCU takes part in the first Big 12 game of the season, and Charlie Weis makes his debut in the conference to see what his Jayhawks have to offer.”
The season opens on September 15.

Big 12 Interim Commissioner Says He Can't Find Any Downside In A 4-Team College Football Playoff
by Eddie Maisonet
Yes, it would've been nice to have seen the Oklahoma State Cowboys get their chance face-off against the seemingly world conquering LSU Tigers two months ago. I'm from Oklahoma and I wanted it badly for the Cowboys. However, even in my biased of perspectives on sports, there's nothing I could come up with that would suggest that I ever thought that OSU's resume was better than Alabama's. Alabama's resume was better, in fact, they proved it after winning the title.
Of course, it seems that no one cares about what seemed iron-clad at the time. People seem more bother by the fact that a college football national champion couldn't even say they won their own division, much less their conference. Big 12 interim commissioner Chuck Neinas seems to like the idea of having a four-team college football playoff, with each of the four teams being conference champions.
