The No. 2 seeded Kansas Jayhawks had a slow start and with the two upsets earlier on Friday with a pair of No. 15 seeds winning Kansas had to be concerned. However, the Jayhawks went on a 15-3 to end the half and lead No. 15 seed Detroit Titans 34-24 at the half.
Kansas is being led by Thomas Robinson who has 12 points and eight rebounds, plus Tyshawn Taylor has 10 points so far. As a team Kansas is shooting 50 percent from the field, and their defense is holding Detroit to 37 percent shooting from the field. Detroit has no players in double figures and are being led by Doug Anderson who has nine points.
