Missouri Vs. Texas Final: Tigers Pull Away Late, Win 81-67

Despite a game effort from a young Texas squad, the No. 5 Missouri Tigers' offensive firepower proved to be too much in their 81-67 victory in the semifinals of the Big 12 Tournament.

Now, with Kansas' loss to Baylor on Friday, Missouri is in position to win the Big 12 Tournament Championship in their last season before leaving for the SEC.

The Tigers multitude of offensive weapons more than made up for Marcus Denmon's disappointing 2 point performance, as Kim English was nearly perfect from the floor, scoring 24 points on 9-10 shooting. Phil Pressey, Ricardo Ratliffe and Michael Dixon all took turns scoring, as the Tigers maintained a relentless offensive pace for the entire 40 minutes.

Despite the struggles of J'Covan Brown and Myck Kabongo, Texas was able to maintain contact for most of the game thanks to 19 offensive rebounds, taking advantage of a small Missouri front-line.

But in the end, the Tigers simply had too much offense in what could the final meeting between the two programs.
