Another Kansas football player will not return to the team in 2012, as head coach Charlie Weis announced defensive lineman Julian Green has been dismissed from the program.
Green, who was a red-shirt freshman defensive tackle listed on the second-string in Kansas' initial spring depth chart, was dismissed for violating team rules.
Since taking over the program, Weis has had both players leave the program and also landed a number of newcomers, including quarterback Dayne Crist - whom Weis coached at Notre Dame.
The team is currently in the midst of spring practices, of which they are allowed 15.
Kansas stumbled to a 2-10 finish in 2011, and Turner Gill was fired as the team's head coach.
