2012 NBA Draft: Thomas Robinson Praised For Speed, Strength And Scoring

Stay connected for news and updates

Former Kansas Jayhawks star Thomas Robinson is headed to the NBA, where he's projected to be a top three pick -- and in SB Nation's mock draft, he'll be headed to Washington at No. 2 overall. Robinson received some praise from Sports Illustrated's Sam Amick on Wednesday, as he took the time to evaluate the top draft prospects in this year's draft.

Amick praised nearly everything about Robinson's game, including his work ethic, which is key for many young athletes.

Robinson joins Davis in the top tier in this group in terms of prospect predictability. The breakout star of the 2011-12 college season, Robinson's production soared after the Morris twins, Marcus and Markieff, left Kansas for the NBA last year. He's slightly undersized for the power forward position, but he's made believers out of most executives not only because of his speed, strength and scoring skills but also because he's a relentless worker and phenomenal rebounder.

That's some pretty high praised heaped on Robinson, as his speed, strength, scoring skills, rebounding and work ethic are all seen as plus-attributes for the 6'9" power forward.

Amick also put Robinson in the top tier of the draft class -- the class labelled "hitting the jackpot." Hopefully, Robinson realizes his potential wherever he winds up in the NBA.
