Kansas Basketball Recruiting 2013: Jabari Parker To Make His Decision By November

The Kansas Jayhawks are still in the running for consensus No. 1 player of the class of 2013 Jabari Parker, who said recently that he would try to narrow down his long list of options and make a decision by November.

Parker's wish list, at the moment, still features the following 14 schools: BYU, UConn, DePaul, Duke, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Missouri, North Carolina, Northwestern, Ohio State and Washington.

"It's a lot of schools on my list right now," Parker said. "I want to do it for me because I want to get it over with before the season starts."

The 6-foot 7-inch senior out of Chicago has been compared to LeBron James in a Sports Illustrated cover story and could change the season's implications for whichever team he decides to play for. At least until November, that could still be Kansas.

And looks like it could be Mizzou, too.

Kansas Basketball Recruiting: Jabari Parker's Family Limiting Media Access This Summer

Top basketball recruit Jabari Parker's family will limit media access to their son this summer in an effort to allow their son to be a kid and not get overwhelmed before his senior season begins.

"Basketball never stops, so we're getting ready to shut it down for him," Parker's father, Sonny, said. "He just wants to continue to be a kid, watch cartoons, hang out with friends and everything.

As the nation's top junior recruit, Parker has already experienced an unbelievable amount of media requests including book, movie and documentary requests. He is routinely followed where ever he goes and his family is looking to shield him from some of that before the scrutiny really cranks up as his senior year begins.

Parker will be playing with Team USA's U17 squad in Lithuania later this summer.
