Kansas State begins a run through the toughest part of conference play starting Saturday at bubble-hopefuls Texas.
Kansas State (17-6, 6-5 Big 12) and Texas (15-9, 5-6 Big 12) are both fighting for their NCAA Tournament lives, with the Longhorns in the unusual situation of sitting on the wrong side of the bubble under Rick Barnes. K State's defense has stepped up in conference play, as the Wildcats held their 10th opponent under 60 points on Tuesday, beating Texas Tech 65-46.
K State enters a critical - and grueling - stretch that begins with the Horns continues with a home game against rival Kansas and road trips to Top 10 ranked Baylor and Missouri.
