March Madness Bracket 2012 Reactions: Kansas State A Disappointment

Stay connected for news and updates

As they say, all good things must come to an end, and Kansas State's season came to an end on Saturday as the Wildcats lost to the top-seeded Syracuse Orange, 75-59.

Mike Rutherford over at SB Nation's NCAA Tournament Central posted some of his thoughts about Syracuse's win, lauding the Orange's effort.

Against a bigger and tougher Kansas State team that many folks had pegged to pull the upset, the Fab Melo-less Orange got a sensational effort in the paint from Rakeem Christmas and cruised to a surprisingly easy 75-59 victory.

Rutherford also called Kansas State the second biggest disappointment of the Round of 32 so far.

They had a clear advantage against Syracuse inside, they out-rebounded the Orange by nine, and they lost the game by 16.

It's tough to be disappointed in an eight seed that fails to beat a one seed, but Rutherford is.
