The contract details have emerged for Kansas State new head basketball coach Bruce Weber, and the contract is a five-year deal worth $8.5 million. Weber will earn a base salary of $1.5 million in his first year and he will receive a $100,000 raise each year making the final year of his contract worth $1.9 million.
The contract for Weber is a slight bump in pay from what he was earning at Illinois where before he was let go he was to earn $1.3 million per season.
This contract is very similar to the one former head coach Frank Martin was earning at Kansas State, and is about the same amount of money that the school would be paying Martin if he were still the coach today.
