College Football Hall Of Fame 2012: Kansas State LB Mark Simoneau Inducted

The 2012 College Football Hall of Fame class was announced on Tuesday. One of the inductees will be Mark Simoneau, a former linebacker from the Kansas St. Wildcats. Simoneau becomes just the second member of the Wildcats to ever be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame, according to the K-State Athletics Twitter feed.

Simoneau played with the Wildcats from 1996 to 1999. In his final year at KSU, he was named a consensus All-American and was given the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year award. Simoneau racked up over 400 tackles in his four years at the school.

After being selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2000 NFL Draft, Simoneau had an 11-year career in the NFL, playing with the Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs. Simoneau had 370 tackles, seven sacks and one interception as a pro.
