Collin Klein, Arthur Brown and Nigel Malone earned some preseason honors on Monday.

With the college football season just a few months away, watch lists were revealed for the Maxwell (for the nation's best player) and Bednarik (for the best defensive player) awards on Monday. Included on these lists were three Kansas State players.

The sole Wildcat featured on the Maxwell list was quarterback Collin Klein. In 13 games last season, Klein threw for 13 touchdowns and six interceptions.

On the defensive side of the football, linebacker Arthur Brown and cornerback Nigel Malone were included. Brown led the team with 101 tackles last season and had two sacks. Malone had 58 tackles and a team-high seven interceptions.

All three players from Kansas State will be entering their senior season.

The rest of the watch lists will be revealed between today and July 20.
