Kansas State faces an easy hurdle in the first game of the season, yet should be wary after a slow start in 2011.

No. 22 Kansas State is looking for stronger start to the season than in 2011, when the Wildcats barely squeaked by Eastern Kentucky 10-7 on their way to a 10-3 season. With Missouri State coming to town the competition should be relatively simpler, with the Bears having won just two games in all of 2011.

QB Collin Klein should have a great day against the Bears, who allowed over 200 yards rushing last season and likely won't present much difficulty for the varied ground attack of the Wildcats. The Bears aren't without their own weapons, however, as Missouri transfer QB Ashton Glaser presents a dual-threat on the ground and through the air if he receives significant playing time in his first game.

This is the first of four home games already sold out for Kansas State, who had a surprising run last season before losing to Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl.
