Kansas State is a hefty 23.5-point favorite over in-state rival Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown.

The 2012 edition of the Sunflower Showdown is the 110th meeting between the Kansas State Wildcats and the Kansas Jayhawks. These two teams are on the opposite side of the spectrum as 4-0 Kansas State is ranked in the top 10, while 1-4 Kansas has beaten just South Dakota State.

With all of those factors, the Wildcats will just be too much for the Jayhawks to handle and are a 23.5-point home favorite. Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein is a dual threat who'll be looking to take advantage of a Kansas defense that allows 439 yards per game. The offense is not much better for Kansas, as it averages a league-worst of 21 points per game.

The one bright spot for Kansas is its rushing game, which is led by the duo of Tony Pierson and Taylor Cox. The pair have combined for 575 yards, four touchdowns and more than 5 yards per carry. Kansas will need starting quarterback Dayne Crist to step up if they are going to be able to compete.
