Marcus Denmon led five players in double figures as Missouri improved to 3-0 with a 83-52 victory over Niagara in the CBE Classic. The Tigers will participate in the semifinals on Monday against Notre Dame. The winner of that game will advance to play either California or Georgia in the finals.
Marcus Denmon scored a game high 22 points for the Tigers who built a 45-22 lead at the half. Kim English added 14 points and six rebounds while Michael Dixon, Matt Pressey and Ricardo Ratliffe all finished with 12. Phil Pressey finished with eight points and six assists. Missouri shot 45 percent for the game including 12-22 from three point range.
Juan'ya Green and Antoine Mason led Niagara with 10 points each. Scooter Gillette added nine points in the loss. Missouri's defense limited the Purple Eagles to just 32 percent shooting and was just 5-28 from beyond the arc.
