Missouri Vs. William & Mary: Tigers Looking To Equal Best Start In 20 Years

Stay connected for news and updates

Missouri is looking to improve its record to 11-0 this season when it hosts William & Mary Sunday afternoon at Mizzour Arena. A victory would equal the Tigers' best start in the last 20 years.

When the Missouri Tigers host William & Mary Sunday afternoon they will be seeking their 11th straight victory to start the season which would equal their best start in the last 20 years. At 2-8, William & Mary doesn't figure to be too much of a challenge for the Tigers who have won 64 consecutive home games over non-conference opponents by an average of 25.3 points.

Frank Haith is the first Missouri coach to win his first 10 games since Craig Ruby did it in the 1920-21 season. Haith's Tigers have plenty of weapons led by Marcus Denmon who is leading the Big 12 in scoring at 20.9 points per outing.

William & Mary hasn't won a game against a Top-25 opponent since 1977, dropping their last 32 contests. The Tribe defeated Liberty 65-64 for its lone win over a Divsion I opponent this season. William & Mary scored a victory over Division III school Wesley College on Thursday.
