The Missouri Tigers successfully bounced back from its first loss of the season by grinding out a tough 76-69 win over Iowa State. After trailing by two at halftime, the Tigers outscored the Cyclones by nine points in the second half to improve their record to 15-1 on the season.
Missouri won the game with a balanced scoring effort with six of the seven players that appeared in the game scoring in double figures. Matt Pressey led the way with 14 points while Ricardo Ratliffe, Phil Pressey and Michael Dixon all finished with 12 each. Kim English and Steve Moore each chipped in 10 points. Leading scorer Marcus Denmon hit only 1-5 shots and finished with six points and a team-high seven assists.
Scott Christopherson led Iowa State with 19 points and was followed by Chris Allen with 17. Royce White added 16 and Chris Babb 10 for the Cyclones who fall to 2-1 in Big 12 play this season.

The Tigers haven't been themselves offensively as Marcus Denmon and Phil Pressey combined to go 2-11 in the first half from the field for four points. Matt Pressey, Steve Moore and Michael Dixon all scored eight points to keep the Tigers close.
Missouri has had a difficult time bottling up Scott Christopherson who finished the half with a game-high 13 points. Chris Babb and Chris Allen each chipped in seven points for the Cyclones.
Frank Haith has to feel pretty good considering that his team is only down two points with neither Denmon nor Pressey being much of a factor.
