Missouri point guard Phil Pressey scored the final five points of the game to put the Tigers over the top.

After the No. 13 Missouri Tigers and the VCU Rams traded the lead in the final minutes of the game, the Tigers managed to hold off the upset bid and earn a 68-65 victory in the third place game of the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament on Saturday night.

VCU took a 65-63 lead with less than two minutes remaining, but Missouri's junior point guard Phil Pressey hit a 3-pointer to give the Tigers a one-point lead before he hit a jump shot with just 18 seconds remaining. Pressey scored the final five points of the game to finish with 11 points, eight assists and two rebounds. The Rams had one last opportunity to tie, but Troy Daniels was unable to hit a game-tying 3-pointer with five seconds remaining to force overtime.

Laurence Bowers led Missouri in scoring for the night with 14 points and also was the only one to finish the game with a double-double as the 6'8" forward brought down 10 rebounds. He was one of four players for the Tigers to finish with double-digit scoring.

Missouri lost in the semifinals to Louisville, while VCU lost to Duke. The tournament's championship game will be played at 9:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
