Missouri PK Andrew Baggatt named to All-SEC Freshman Team

Redshirt freshman kicker honored after emerging as a reliable scoring source for the Tigers.

Missouri Tigers placekicker Andre Baggatt was honored by the Southeast Conference by being named the kicker on the SEC All-Freshman team.

Baggatt, from North High School in Lee's Summit, Mo., earned the starting placekicking duties this season after walking on and redshirting last year. Baggat displayed a strong leg that became more dependable as the season progressed for the Tigers.

In the first three games of the season, Baggatt made just four of his eight field goal attempts, but then went on make 10-of-12 down the stretch to finish the season making 14-of-20 field goals. Four of those 14 were longer than 40 yards, including two makes from 46 yards out.

Baggatt also made 33-of-37 extra points for the Tigers to finish the season with 75 points and 6.3 points per game ranking him 15th in the SEC in scoring. Baggatt ranked fifth in the SEC in field goals made.
