Missouri Lands Two Players For 2013 Class After Junior Day

Missouri had Aarion Pention and Joe Burkett verbally commit after they attended Missouri's junior day.

Feb 12, 2012 - The Missouri Tigers just held their annual junior day where they hosted over 30 recruits who were part of the 2013 class and beyond. Once the camp ended Missouri had two players who they offered end up verbally committed. The two players are Jefferson City (Mo.) linebacker Joe Burkett and St. Louis CBC athlete Aarion Penton. Both said it was an easy choice since they each grew up Missouri fans.

Burkett is expected to play linebacker and comes in at 6-foot-3, 200-pounds, and he also is a champion pole vaulter for his high school. Burkett will try to beef up to 220 pounds for his senior season.

Penton sent out a tweet to announce his decision on Saturday afternoon:

Penton is a 5-foot-10, 170-pounds and in high school has played running back, wide receiver and cornerback. The Missouri coaches are promising him to be able to pick his position in college, and right now Penton has not decided if he wants to play offense or defense.

Here is a nice touchdown catch by Penton, his play comes at the 24 second mark, and it is a nice grab:
