Spring practices culminate on Saturday for the Tigers, as the annual Black and Gold game will be held Saturday at 1 p.m.

College football is in the air everywhere throughout the country on Saturday, and Columbia, Missouri, is certainly no exception. The 2012 Black and Gold game is set to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, marking the end of the 2012 spring practice season.

There will be plenty of fanfare surrounding Saturday's game, as the school is unveiling its new Nike uniforms for football, basketball, soccer and volleyball at halftime.

While it's not an official game, as it's merely an in-house scrimmage, it marks the beginning of Missouri's SEC tenure, as the program will be moving from the Big 12 to the SEC effective this year.

Admission to the game costs $3, or three canned food items which will benefit the Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri. The game will be held at Memorial Stadium/Faurot Field.

Missouri is coming off of an Independence Bowl win over North Carolina, a game that the Tigers dominated in, winning easily 41-24. James Franklin, who accounted for three touchdowns in the bowl win, was a large part of Missouri's success last year -- and will likely continue to be as Tigers shift to the SEC.
