Projected Missouri starting guard Jack Meiners suffered a knee injury on Thursday, and the latest update is that an announcement will be made on Monday.

The news about Missouri Tigers guard Jack Meiners on his knee injury is that there is no news. An announcement on his status is likely to occur during Monday's press conference where Missouri coach Gary Pinkel will provide a further update.

Meiners first suffered the knee injury during Thursday's practice where he was taken off the field as he was injured on a passing play. He's not alone, as much of Missouri's offensive line has taken a hit with some form of injury. So far, Travis Ruth and tackle Taylor Chappell are out for the year; Ruth has suffered a torn bicep while Chappell has a torn ACL. Those two combined for 14 starts last season, and the offensive line is now looking very thin.

Meiners has seven starts to his name, but he has seen action in every game in his three-year career with Missouri, and if his injury is revealed to be serious then Missouri will be in trouble in their first year in the SEC, as they face tough defensive fronts with a depleted offensive line.
