The University of Missouri basketball program will kick off its 2012-13 campaign with Mizzou Madness on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. CT at Mizzou Arena.
The University of Missouri Basketball program has announced that it will host Mizzou Madness on Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. CT.
The event marks the official beginning of the 2012-13 Mizzou basketball campaign, and will feature scrimmages by both the men's and women's program. The Madness is also slated to include contests, giveaways, and games.
Doors to the Mizzou Arena will open at 6 p.m. CT, and members of both programs will be on the concourse to sign autographs leading up the the event's 7 p.m start time.
The Mizzou men's program finished the 2011-12 season with a 30-5 record and a No. 2 seed in the Western Regional of the NCAA Championship, but suffered a disappointing loss to No. 15 seed Norfolk State in the second round.
The Mizzou women's program finished their 2011-12 season with a 13-18 record and lost in the Big 12 Championship quarterfinal to the Oklahoma Sooners.
Admission and parking to the Mizzou Madness event will be free, and more details will be announced later in September.
