Kevin Durant trails only LeBron James in number of NBA jerseys sold.

Kevin Durant has emerged in many people's minds as the unquestioned second-best player in the NBA over the past couple of seasons, and the merchandise-buying masses seem to agree. Durant trails only Miami Heat forward LeBron James for the highest-selling NBA jersey, according to CNBC.

The Oklahoma City Thunder forward jumped up six spots from No. 8 to No. 2 in the latest tally of highest-selling jerseys in the league. Thunder guard Russell Westbrook also makes his first appearance on the list with the No. 12-selling jersey.

Among team merchandise sales, the small-market Thunder's mass appeal has led to the team selling the sixth-most merchandise behind only the big-market New York Knicks, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics.

After James and Durant, Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and injured Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose -- the previous No. 1 jersey -- round out the top five.
