NBA Summer League: Cole Aldrich Finding Rhythm In Middle For OKC Thunder

Stay connected for news and updates

As the Oklahoma City Thunder summer league team heats up this week in Orlando, the play of Cole Aldrich keeps getting better in the middle. Perhaps the two are connected as the Kansas big man hopes to impress the Thunder brass with his play to earn more playing time in the middle. He's doing just that according to Mark Bryant, the team's summer league coach.

"Cole just has to keep playing hard," Bryant said. "That's all we want him to do is just keep playing hard. Don't worry about scoring. He's supposed to protect the rim, rebound and be physical. Those are the only things you have to worry about, and I thought he really embraced that and played well today."

Aldrich had 10 points and 7 rebounds and 2 blocks in Wednesday's game.
