Sporting KC waived four players on Monday.
Cyprian Hedrick, Neven Markovic, Julio Cesar and Konrad Warzycha were all waived by Sporting KC on Monday, the team's official website announced.
A midfielder from Brazil, Cesar scored three goals and had three assists in 2012, his second season with Sporting. Hedrick suffered a fractured fibula in May and missed his rookie season after being selected in the second round of the MLS SuperDraft out of Coastal Carolina. Markovic, a defender from Serbia, only saw action in two regular season games after signing in July. Warzycha made only one appearance, in the team's 2-0 win over Toronto on June 16.
The four players were eligible for Monday's MLS Waiver Draft, in which Sporting KC held the No. 14 overall pick.
Sporting KC finished the regular season with the best record in the Eastern Conference before being eliminated by the Houston Dynamo in conference semifinals. KC had 63 points in the regular season.
