Sporting Kansas City looks like one of the best teams in the MLS right now and didn't disappoint Saturday night holding on for a 1-0 win over Real Salt Lake.
Sporting Kansas City struck first just before the halftime whistle but had the goal disallowed by referee Kevin Stott. Aurelien Collin scored the only goal of the game in the 63rd minute of the contest. Collin came free against Real Salt Lake's Alvaro Saborio to score on a header to give Kansas City the lead.
Sporting Kansas City's press wasn't as aggressive as it has been in past contests but Real Salt Lake were unable to create clear scoring chances. Collin and Matt Besler didn't allow anything through in the final moments of the game. Sporting Kansas City earns the full three points in the standings for the victory.

Sporting Kansas City puts their undefeated 5-0-0 record on the line on Saturday as they take on the Western Conference leading Real Salt Lake (5-1-0) in a clash of the two best MLS teams to date this season.
Both Real Salt Lake and Sporting Kansas City have +7 goal differentials on the year, which is tops in the entire MLS. Real Salt Lake has scored 11 and surrendered four goals this year en route to their 5-1-0 start, while Sporting Kansas City has scored eight times and given up just one goal.
The match between Real Salt Lake and Sporting Kansas City will get underway at 7:30 p.m. CT.
