Sporting Kansas City will meet the New York Red Bulls in a tough conference clash on Wednesday at Red Bull Arena.

After dropping a result at home to the Houston Dynamo, Sporting Kansas City remained top of the table in the Eastern Conference but are looking below them at an onrushing New York Red Bulls team. Following a solid win over the Columbus Crew, New York has moved up to 49 points, good for third in the Eastern Conference and fourth on the overall table.

Sporting KC sits at only 51, which makes the meeting between them and the Red Bulls on Wednesday possibly the most vital game remaining in the season for both teams. First place in the Eastern Conference could be at stake, though the Chicago Fire may have something to say about that if they continue their good form, along with a slim chance at catching the San Jose Earthquakes for the Supporters' Shield.

Both teams boast powerful offenses, which could lead to a show as guys like Graham Zusi and Kei Kamara try to outgun Thierry Henry and Kenny Cooper.

The game will be at Red Bull Arena at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday.
