After being named to the United States Men's National Team (USMNT) on Sunday for a pair of World Cup qualifiers, Graham Zusi of Sporting Kansas City spoke to SportingKC.com about the opportunity.

Zusi arrived in Miami, FL to begin preparing with the team on Sunday and will see his first action with the USMNT when the team takes on Jamaica on Sept. 7 at Independence Park in Kingston, Jamaica.

A midfielder for Sporting KC, Zusi ranks second in the MLS with 12 assists, and has made three appearances internationally as a member of the USMNT in friendlies in 2012. Against Panama, Zusi scored the United States' only goal in a 1-0 victory.

The United States currently leads Group A in World Cup qualifying with four points, ahead of Jamaica based on goal differential.
