Chiefs Prepare For Jaguars Team Coming Off Big Monday Night Football Loss To Titans

The Kansas City Chiefs are favored to win for the first time this season. Yes, it took seven weeks but the NFL picks are starting to go the Chiefs way.

Next Sunday they'll face a Jacksonville Jaguars team that was dominated by the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football.

Here are a few of the highlights of what the Jaguars did:

  • QB David Garrard went down with a concussion. QB Trent Edwards came in. The QBs combined for three picks.
  • RB Maurice Jones-Drew rushed 17 times for 57 yards.
  • WR Mike Sims-Walker had two catches for 16 yards. He had six for 147 yards and a TD against the Chiefs last year.

The Chiefs have to be feeling pretty good after seeing the Jaguars get completely dominated at home. I think the Chiefs can play the Jaguars very well.

The quarterback situation will be a question mark moving forward. We should know more either Monday from the head coach or Wednesday when the injury reports come out. My guess is that the question of Garrard's status will be taken into the weekend.

The Chiefs have history playing opponents coming off of a MNF loss. In Week 3 they played the San Francisco 49ers after they came off of a MNF game and won 31-10.
