The first regular season college basketball rankings are out and....there are very few changes. For the Kansas City area teams -- Kansas State, Kansas and Missouri -- nothing has changed. The Wildcats are still No. 3, the Jayhawks are still No. 7 and the Tigers are still No. 15. Those were the same rankings in the preseason poll.
Duke is still at the top followed by Michigan State, Kansas State, Ohio State and Pittsburgh.
Kansas State had a 14-point victory over James Madison last week, 75-61. Virginia Tech comes to town on Tuesday for a big game. Kansas beat up on Longwood last week, 113-75., so they're off on the right foot. They'll host Valparaiso on Monday night in Lawrence, Kan. Mizzou hosted a rousing game against...Arkansas Fort Smith. They won handily, 115-74. They'll play Western Illinois and North Florida this week.
