The Missouri men's basketball team is getting tired of playing each other, Tigers coach Mike Anderson said, which is a good thing if you look at the Tigers' schedule. The team is set to open its regular season with a string of seven games in 14 days.

"When your 5-10 point guard can go between the legs and dunk, that's a pretty athletic team," said English, a junior who led the team with a 14-point average. "From top to bottom there are a lot of athletes on this team. That means that coach will want us to be even more all over the court wreaking havoc."

English poised for big things
"We expect a pretty good season, but that’s not saying too much because we expect to win a national championship every year we get started with camp," English said. "So on Friday camp starts. We’re excited and we expect to work hard because we know what goal we have in the balance."

"Man, we've been ready," said junior forward Laurence Bowers, who with his teammates will get his first chance to play a game that matters at 7 p.m. Thursday at Mizzou Arena. "We looked at the exhibition games as a chance to get better, so we've still had a chance to play against somebody other than ourselves, but for it actually count, we're really excited."
