NFL Picks Week 13: Line On Chiefs-Broncos Game Gets Bigger

New, 1 comment

The Kansas City Chiefs should be popular in Week 13 NFL picks because the line in their game against the Denver Broncos continues to rise. The Chiefs, who host the Broncos on Sunday, started out as seven point favorites but in the last day that has risen to 8.5 -- and as high as 10 in some places. That means Vegas is trying to find people to bet on Denver.

The Chiefs have plenty of reasons to win this game. It's at home, where they're 5-0. It's against the Broncos, who they don't like very much. Todd Haley didn't shake Josh McDaniels' hand after the Broncos stomped the Chiefs two weeks ago so I'm sure he'd love to get a victory. KC is in the playoff hunt, unlike Denver, so they need to win this game to stay on top.

The Broncos are 3-8. They gave up 36 points at home in a loss to the St. Louis Rams. They were just caught cheating and don't have any hope for the playoffs. It's a dire situation in Denver and KC is hoping to take advantage of that.

At home, I'm predicting that the KC Chiefs take care of business against the Broncos. The Chiefs will likely be healthier this time around -- they were missing two safeties -- and could see the return of WR Dexter McCluster. KC also needs this game a lot more than Denver does (though the same could have been said in their last meeting).

I don't think KC covers on an 8.5 point line but I do think they walk away with a victory.
