The Kansas Jayhawks will head to Lincoln to face the Nebraska Cornhuskers. The Jayhawks are coming off of an incredible comeback against Colorado (which later got Dan Hawkins fired) and probably feeling better than they were heading into last week.
Kansas head coach Turner Gill said this week that Quinn Mecham would be the starter against the Huskers on Saturday.
Kansas' quarterback situation is a bit murky right now. Starter Jordan Webb was injured two weeks ago with a shoulder injury while backup Kale Pick had a concussion although he's been cleared to play. Last week Gill announced Mecham as the starter and he played well. He completed a good percentage of his passes and led his team on a school record fourth quarter comeback.
The Cornhuskers are coming off of a very tight 31-30 victory over Iowa State. That showed the Huskers are vulnerable, which is all Kansas can hope for.
Clearly Nebraska is the favorite here and they're not Colorado so I don't see them losing a lead. This will be a big game for the Jayhawks but one you can't realistically predict them to win.
